Year End Awards

One special way to celebrate your New Forest Pony's success is through participation in our Year-End Awards program. If you or your pony are participating in rated or unrated shows, clinics and other organized activities this is one way to share your success and be recognized for it. At the end of each year, points are tallied up and awards are presented to the winners. Plus, you and your pony will be featured in "New Forest Nickers."     Ponies can also earn lifetime achievement points for inspections with board approved organizations. See below for details. Forms are at the bottom of the page.

*** Please note the deadline for sending in Year End Forms has been increased to 90 days with the exception of the end of the year.  All forms must be in by Jan 15, 2012 in order to count for 2011 awards.   Please get your forms in on time.***

***FORMS AND RULES HAVE BEEN UPDATED FOR 2011- PLEASE READ REVISED RULES AND DOWNLOAD CURRENT FORMS***

Eligibility

A. Ponies must be registered with the New Forest Pony Society of North America and/or a recognized New Forest Pony Stud Book including part-breeds. A copy of the registration papers must be submitted to the appropriate point secretary with the first show report. There is a point secretary for the U.S. and one for Canada. See last page for names and addresses.

B. Owners of ponies must be members in good standing of the New Forest Pony Society of North America with dues having been paid in full before the date of the event for the points to be counted (in the case of equitation classes the rider will be scored points as long as he/she is a member in good standing). Riders/Handlers must be members in good standing to receive points for Rider/Handler/Equitation awards. (See membership enrollment form for membership information.)

C. Year-end award points will be counted from January 1- December 31 of the current year.
